Character Education

  • One of my main focuses at Explorer Elementary is character education. 
  • I teach lessons in every classroom, every other week. 
  • Some of the topics that I teach are respect, perseverance and accepting differences.
  • I teach my lessons in a variety of ways including books, games and activites
  • I also see students individually and in small groups.

One of the character education activities that I do schoolwide is Bucket Filling. I read the book "Have You Filled a Bucket Today" by Carol McCloud,  to all of our students Pre-K- 4th Grade.  We practice bucket filling everyday  by doing nice things for others.
