We are excited to introduce our Empowered Student Leaders -- 4th grade students who are stepping up to make a difference in our school!
During the first two weeks of school, our student leaders helped welcome our newest students by walking kindergarteners to their classrooms. This was just the beginning!
Throughout the year, our Empowered Student Leaders will have many opportunities to lead, serve, and make a positive impact—from greeting students in the morning and helping count coins in the lunchroom, to modeling positive behaviors on the playground and participating in our Upstanders in Action group.
But we want our leaders to take it a step further. Our goal is for them not only to model positive behaviors, but to teach them. They will have opportunities to encourage, coach, and help other students learn the skills that make our school a kinder, safer, and more connected place.
Keep an eye out for the Empowered Student Leader badges throughout our building! These students are ready to lead by example, lend a helping hand, teach others, and show that every student has the power to make a difference.
