Congratulations to Rose Ann Valek, Explorer Elementary School, for receiving the District Attitude Award! Her nominator, April Karber, wrote, "Walt Whitman said, "Keep your face always toward the sunshine, and the shadows will fall behind you." Rose Ann Valek is someone who faces the sunshine! The two years I have worked with her have been a privilege! She is one of the most positive, hard-working, and hopeful people I have known. She is always up for helping with any project I come up with--many times spending a lot of time prepping and hanging 400 pieces of student work in the hallway-- and any idea that will help our students better find and access books. She is a wonderful listener, a calm presence when students need it, and a bright and creative colleague. She is very deserving of the attitude award!”

Congratulations to the Discovery/ Explorer Rubik's cube team. The team took 2nd in their first competition at the Maize Middle School Rubik's cube meet on Tuesday!
Families, when you return the permission slips, they must have a signature on them. Typing your name on the form is not acceptable.
