🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 Explorer families, As you may know, our very own Melissa Haney, a dedicated member of our staff, was named one of the 8 finalists for Kansas Teacher of the Year last Spring by the Kansas State Department of Education. The winner of this prestigious award will be announced tonight by the Commissioner of Education, Dr. Randy Watson. Melissa's passion, dedication, and commitment to our students have always shone brightly, and she truly deserves this recognition. Let's all wish her the very best of luck tonight. Family Fun Nighy was a huge success! Thank you to our PTO for setting it all up and to all of the parent volunteers and EHS student volunteers. Special thanks to the EHS cheerleaders for the face painting. Finally a huge shout out to Mrs. Haney, Mrs Klein, and Mrs. Van Nort for taking turns with me in the splash tower. Explorer is the best! Explorer Family Fun Night 2024

Explorer Families! Don't forget about Family Fun Night TONIGHT on the Eisenhower Football field! It is from 6-8, bring the whole family to enjoy good food and good fun! Check out the flyer for all the activities you can enjoy!

Attention families, We have an Explorer site council of parents and community members who meet with me several times a year to learn more about what's going on in the school and ask any questions they may have. Our first site council meeting will be a joint elementary meeting this coming Monday, September 18th at Oak Street Elementary which is at 501 N. Oak St. in Goddard. The meeting starts at 6:00PM. At this first meeting Captain Phelps of the Goddard school district police department will present on school safety and have a question and answer session. Please join us if you are interested. We hope you are as excited for Family Fun Night as we are! Just one more day before an evening of fun with your Explorer Family. Kona Ice will be onsite for your sweet tooth cravings after you enjoy some yummy food at the food trucks. Make sure to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win some amazing items. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 each or buy 10 tickets and get 1 free. The splash tower tickets will be sold for $5 for the opportunity to get either Mrs. Schrader (6:00pm to 6:30pm), Mrs. Haney (6:30pm to 7:00pm), Mr. Hollas (7:00pm to 7:30pm), or Mrs. Van Nort (7:30pm to 8:00pm) wet. (Cash preferred but cards will be accepted.) All money raised will be used to help cover the expenses of Fun Night, Spirit Shirts, Field Trips, Library Books & Furniture, Classroom Technology and so much more. We cannot wait to see you tomorrow night! Please remember children must be accompanied by an adult and may not be dropped off and left. Check out a few more of our awesome raffle items that have been generously donated by local businesses and individuals!
