Families, if you drop off your child in the morning please use the front entrance and not the west entrances. There is traffic there and after the buses unload, those doors are locked.

Our second graders are studying government at work and had firefighters as guest speakers today.
Check out this playground drawing from Explorer. In each class, teachers and students talk about how they want to be treated and how they treat others as part of the Capturing Kids Hearts program. Some of these conversations are also taking place on the playground.
Once a month on a checkout day, students get to play with the fun toys/games in library! They always build some creative things!
Last week in library, kindergarteners read the book How to Catch a Class Pet and then built a little home for a finger puppet "pet" they were given!
As a reminder, all schools and district offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4th in honor of Labor Day. We hope everyone has a safe time celebrating this holiday weekend!

It's great to see some of our amazing paras transitioning into the teaching profession. Here Ms. Laurel is teaching a 3rd grade science lesson and doing a great job. She is going to be a fantastic teacher!
